Eddie Sackville-West was a reluctant inheritor of Knole House in Kent. In the 1920s and 1930s he had rooms in the Gatehouse Tower which have recently been restored and opened to the public.
Working closely with the National Trust curators, Hamilton Design provided graphics and objects to tell Eddie’s story. Visitors can hear his favourite music, listen to his voice and see some of his favourite possessions in two rooms filled with contemporary furniture and illustrations.

Entry to the Gatehouse Tower is via a steep, spiral staircase which restricts access to some. To mitigate this, Hamilton Design provided a ‘teaser’ video which can be seen in the Knole Visitor Centre.
